Having received a Bachelor of Music degree in French horn performance from the University of Michigan and a Master of Music degree in French horn performance from Northwestern University, Ben Wulfman is in demand as an orchestral and chamber music performer.
A resident of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Ben is 2nd horn in the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and the Ann Arbor Symphony. In his years of performing, he has played in the sections of the New York Philharmonic, the Dallas Symphony, the Orchestra of the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra and many others. He has played as guest principal horn in the Traverse Symphony Orchestra, the Adrian Symphony, and the Dearborn Symphony Orchestra.


Ben most recently toured with the New York Philharmonic to Taiwan and China in Summer 2023. Earlier in 2023, he toured with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, under direction of Fabio Luisi.
Ben has been a fellow at a number of summer music festivals including the Tanglewood Music Center and the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival.
Currently working on his Doctoral degree, Ben is an avid teacher enjoys working with students of all ages. Through private instruction, Wulfman has guided students of all ages and abilities through the various requirements of school band and orchestra as well as the challenges of regional and state competitions. As a brass clinician and pedagogy advisor, Ben worked with students from many award-winning programs including Rouse High School and McNeil High School in Austin, TX, Lincoln Park High School, in Chicago, IL, North Farmington High School, in Farmington Hills, MI, and the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park, in Canton, MI.
